“Personally, I found no civilization, no love, in Europe” explained Said, a young immigrant from Iran who was racially attacked in Athens two months ago.
Said was walking in the centre of the Greek capital, in the area of Metaxourgion, when three men in black approached and started beating him.
“They beat me harsh. One of them grabbed me from behind, held my neck with his hand and bit my ear off. I bled and saw my ear fall on the ground” Said described.
“I want to say something to all those immigrants leaving their countries… It may be better to stay in your country than to leave,” Said added.
Now, the young Iranian has found shelter with the organisation Doctors of the World.
