Sorry to this man, but The Traitors season 3 cast had "no idea" who Sam Asghari was when they all arrived to the castle.

The model/actor has a few onscreen appearances on his resumé, including Hacks, NCIS, Black Monday, and Mel Gibson's action-thriller film Hot Seat. But Asghari is best known for being Britney Spears' ex-husband — a fact that went over the heads of his Traitors costars.

"I didn't know Sam," Wells Adams told Entertainment Weekly. "I know who Britney Spears is, but I don't know some random ex of Britney Spears."

And Adams wasn't alone. Bob the Drag Queen revealed he felt the exact same way in a recent YouTube livestream. "I did not know this man was Britney Spears' ex-husband," Bob said. "I don't know him, I do not know this man ... He's a nice guy — to me. He might not be nice, I don't know. I can't vouch for anything beyond that."

In fact, a cast member actually thought Asghari was someone else when they entered the castle on the first day of filming. "I was really tickled because at this point we're like all trying to find out who each other are and everyone's trying to find out, 'Who is Sam?'" Bob recalled. "And then at one point Nikki [Bella] was like, 'I think that's Davide [Sanclimenti] from Love Island.'"

Bob then held up a photo of the Love Island winner. "This is Davide, and that does honestly look like Sam," he noted. "Honestly, easy mistake to make."

Real Housewife Dorinda Medley remembered giving Asghari advice on how to navigate getting divorced without realizing his was highly-publicized at the time. "I had no idea," she said on SiriusXM's The Julia Cunningham Show. "Swear to God, it's true. Cross my heart, I had no idea who Sam was. I was advising him about how it is to go through a divorce and, 'What does your wife do?' and finally, Britney [Haynes] is like, 'Dorinda, that is Britney Spears' ex.'"

Medley explained that she's "very good at being not in this world," referring to her pop culture knowledge. "I think that's how I've kept my sanity all these years," she added. But she remembered asking Asghari, "'Are you heartbroken?' and I'm like, 'Oh my god, you're young. You'll meet someone again. I'm sure she was great,' and Britney's like, 'What is wrong with you?' I was mothering him 'cause that's what I naturally do. I love to mother."

To be fair to Asghari, Bob said he "didn't recognize a single person" and Adams didn't know who Big Brother legend Derrick Levasseur was either when he joined the game late. "I don't watch Big Brother," the Bachelor in Paradise bartender/husband of Sarah Hyland said. "So when we were doing the second mission and everyone's in the cages, at that point, I knew who Boston Rob [Mariano] was, and I knew who Wes [Bergmann] was because I'm a huge Challenge fan. Everyone's trying to figure out who to [give] their coins to. To the other guy, I was like, 'I don't know who you are, man.' He's like, 'I'm Derrick, I'm from Big Brother.' And I was like, 'That makes sense. I don't watch that show. I'm very sorry.'"

Asghari first met Spears on the set of her "Slumber Party" music video in 2016, and the pair got engaged in September 2021. They tied the knot in June 2022, but separated a year later in July 2023 and officially divorced in December 2024.

I saw him after the 1998 World Cup where he had called a controversial penalty kick against Brazil for Norway. This was a friendly at Foxboro on September 12, 1998 between the US and Mexico's women's team that the US won 9-0 although he wasn't the ref but rather was there for some kind of award. I shouted out to him as he walked by "اسی چاکریم!" but he either didn't hear me or chose not to respond. https://www.mlssoccer.com/post/2019/...-builder-award Esfandiar "Esse" Baharmast, a former referee, player, coach and current instructor who has been involved in more than a dozen World Cup tournaments and Olympic Games, has been named the 2020 winner of U.S. Soccer's prestigious Werner Fricker Builder Award. The woman who allegedly opened fire at YouTube’s headquarters in a suburb of San Francisco, injuring three before killing herself, was apparently furious with the video website because it had stopped paying her for her clips. Police in California named the shooter as Nasim Najafi Aghdam. Aghdam was “upset with the policies and practices of YouTube”, San Bruno police chief Ed Barberini said at a press conference on Wednesday. “This appears to be the motive for this incident.” No evidence had been found linking her to any individuals at the company where she allegedly opened fire on Tuesday, he said. Police gave her age as 39 but her brother said she would have turned 38 on Wednesday. Two of the three shooting victims from the incident were released from the Zuckerberg San Francisco general hospital on Tuesday night. A third, a male in his 30s, is currently in “serious condition”, a hospital spokeswoman said Wednesday morning. A fourth victim had been injured, but not shot,...
